Outpost of Wonder is located at the Monterey Park Public Library. It is a Mixed media, three dimensional mosaic mural sculpture installed on the exterior main entrance. Measuring 17.5' x 19', the artwork consists of inlay ceramic and glass tile, custom cable suspension, aluminum spheres, cast resin large scale welded aluminum geometric forms and stainless aviation cables that results in a work that utilizes three dimensional elements to create a sculptural effect. This concept required a comprehensive approach in design, fabrication, installation and construction administration including schematic drawings, plans and working with city engineering and building departments toward production.
